  • Altar servers are a vital part of our Parish Ministries. Altar servers serve at all of the Saturday/Sunday Masses, Holy Days, and Masses during the Christmas and Easter Seasons. Masses on Holy Days and special services are on a volunteer basis. Altar servers must be in 4th grade or higher and must attend a training session before being scheduled to serve.

Please contact the Parish Office at contact@sbgparish.org or 610-933-2110 with any questions. Please complete an Altar Server Permission Form and return it to the Parish Office in the Parish Life Center if you or your child would like to volunteer to be an altar server. Altar server training sessions will be announced from time to time. Please review the following training materials with your child before attending an altar server training session:

  • Lectors are a vital part of our Parish Ministries. Lectors serve at all of the Saturday/Sunday Masses, Holy Days, and Masses during the Christmas and Easter Seasons. Lectors serve on one Saturday/Sunday per month. Masses on Holy Days and special services are on a volunteer basis. We can work around your schedule.

We strive to have two lectors at each Mass as directed by the Archdiocese so new recruits are always welcome. Lectors should be adult, fully-initiated practicing Catholics in good standing, have a pleasant, clear speaking voice, and a desire to bring God’s Word to His people.

We have a workshop about once a year and new lectors are individually trained as needed. Please contact the Parish Office at contact@sbgparish.org or 610-933-2110 if you want to learn more about being a lector.

  • Music is a very important part of the Mass. It is a vital part of worship. We invite you to share your musical gifts with the parish. Please contact the Parish Office at contact@sbgparish.org or 610-933-2110 if you are interested in joining our Music Ministry.

Additionally, we are seeking 8-10 new singers to join the music ministry. Members must be at least 18 years old. Please contact Lisa Vorel at stbasilmusic@yahoo.com to learn more.

  • Ushers are the oldest lay ministry in the Catholic Church. They are responsible for greeting parishioners and making them feel welcome. Ushers also assist with collections and in guiding parishioners to receive Holy Communion. Anyone interested in assisting during the Mass by serving as an Usher please contact the Parish Office at contact@sbgparish.org or 610-933-2110.
